Solo's eyes scanned over the crowd. His hands were tucked into his pockets. He was looking for an associate who had not shown up yet.
A sigh escaped Solo's lips. His associate should have shown up an hour ago.
A young woman walked towards the phone booth Solo stood by. Her heels clacked against the floor rhythmically and mixed with the sounds of airplanes flying overhead. She carried a large blue bag.
Solo looked her up and down. He was impressed by what he saw. Her dark hair was perfectly placed to frame her face. Her blue eyes were peeping out from behind black sunglasses that had slid down her nose. She had on red lipstick. Her coat was navy blue with white buttons and reached below her knees. She had dark tights on under the coat. Her heels were also a navy blue.
If Solo hadn't been on a mission he would have spoken to her, and even then it had to be an important mission like this was. Solo looked away from the young lady. He went back to scanning over the crowd.
"He isn't here yet," Solo heard through phone booth. "No... If I were to leave the bag someone would take it..."
Solo turned slightly and looked over at the young woman in the phone booth. Her back was turned to him. Her voice was nervous and louder than it needed to be.
"I can't do this... Please let me leave," The young woman said.
The young lady held the phone to her ear with both hands. Her grip tightened as the voice on the other line spoke to her.
"Alright..." She said finally. Her voice was shaking. She hung up the phone. She let her head lean on to the side of the booth.
The young woman stayed in the phone booth for awhile. She ran her fingers through her hair a few times. She moved her head from the wall of the phone booth. She picked up the large blue bag.
Solo turned back forward. He scanned over the crowd. The young woman walked by him. She stopped in front of him. Her back was once again turned to him. She slowly turned to look at him. She took her sunglasses off.
"Have we met before?" She asked.
Napoleon looked at her with an eyebrow raised. "Not that I can think of," He said slowly.
"You look familiar," She said. "I'm sure I've met you before."
Solo smiled. "I really wish we had," He said.
"Well, we've met now," The young woman said. "My name is Violet. What is your name?"
"My name is Napoleon Solo."
Violet smiled. "That's a lovely name," She said. "Are you waiting for someone?"
"Oh, just an associate," Solo said.
"Then would this associate mind if I stole you away for awhile for a cup of coffee?" Violet asked.
Napoleon laughed. "I'm sure he won't mind," He said.
The two new acquaintances walked off together. If Napoleon had been looking, he would have noticed his associate, Illya Kuryakin, step from a hallway. Illya watched Napoleon walk off with a look of disappointment and distaste.
As Napoleon and his date drew nearer to a coffee shop Illya started to follow them. The coffee shop was small and inside the airport. Napoleon sat so he could see through the window that looked out at the rest of the airport, but it was too late to see Illya who had placed himself in the doorway. Illya walked into the coffee shop slowly staring at Napoleon the entire time.
Napoleon and Violet were talking about something Illya didn't care about. Napoleon had a goofy smile across his face.
Illya stood behind Napoleon. Violet looked at him with an eyebrow raised. Napoleon turned following Violet's gaze. He was only slightly surprised. "Oh, Illya," He said smiling.
"Is this your associate?" Violet asked.
"Mr. Solo, we have business," Illya said slowly and without even trying to hiding his irritation.
"Illya, can't you see I'm entertaining a lady?" Napoleon said.
"I can see that, but our business is urgent," Illya said.
Napoleon sighed. "Very well," He said. Napoleon stood up. "You'll have to excuse me."
Violet smiled. "Alright," She said.
Napoleon walked with Illya until they were out of site of the coffee shop.
"Illya, I don't think it was very right of you to take me away from such a lovely lady," Napoleon said.
"Shut up, Napoleon," Illya said angrily.
Illya turned towards Napoleon. Napoleon raised his eyebrows slightly surprised by Illya's outburst.
"You knew very well the importance of this mission," Illya said angrily. "I will not stand for your womanizing while we are on a mission like this."
"Illya, did you see that big, blue bag with her?" Napoleon asked.
"No," Illya said frowning.
"There is something in that bag," Napoleon said.
"Well of course there is something inside the bag!" Illya snapped.
"Illya, I do not appreciate your attitude," Napoleon said.
"I do not appreciate your womanizing, but that has not seemed to stop you," Illya said glaring.
"I'm going to choose to ignore that remark," Napoleon said.
Illya rolled his eyes. "I would like it if you'd get to your point," He said annoyed.
"Fine, I heard her while she was in the phone booth, she was waiting for someone and she was afraid that someone would take the bag," Napoleon said.
Illya gave Napoleon an annoyed look. "That could mean anything," Illya said. "I don't care what is going on with her, we have our mission."
"She was really pretty though," Napoleon said.
Illya sighed in resignation. He began to walk away. "Come on, Napoleon, let's go apologize to the young lady and go back to headquarters," Illya said tiredly.
Napoleon walked up beside Illya. "You're a peach, Illya," Napoleon said.
"It would be impolite for you to leave a lady without saying goodbye," Illya said dryly.
"Sure, sure," Napoleon said waving his hand.
They walk back towards the coffee shop. Violet was still sitting at the table. Her coffee cup was in her hand and she was watching the entrance nervously. Two men in grey suits walked through the door of the coffee shop. Violet slammed down her cup, spilling some coffee in the process. She reached for her bag.
Violet fumbled around for her bag and finally managed to grab it. She stood up. The two men walked towards her. She stepped towards them.
Illya exchanged glances with Napoleon. They both saw the familiar bird on the shoulder of the men. Napoleon started to walk a little faster.
The two men grabbed Violet's arms. Her eyes widened and opened her mouth opened. She began to struggle.
Napoleon broke out into a run. Illya joined him. Some people in the coffee shop stood up and tried to stop the two men, but the two men knocked them away. Napoleon skidded into the coffee shop. He grabbed one of the men by their suit collar and pulled him off of Violet.
Napoleon punched the man he had by the suit in the face. Illya ran in and grabbed the other man. Violet dropped her bag and retreated away from the fight. The four men fought for awhile until the two men in grey suits ran off.
Napoleon sat down in exhaustion. Illya brushed his clothing off. The room was pretty much empty.
"Thank you so much," Violet said.
"Save it," Illya said turning. "Why were a couple of THRUSH agents attacking you?"
Violet frowned. "Well, I don't know exactly," She said.
"Why did they want that bag?" Napoleon asked sitting up.
Violet smiled unsurely. "Would you believe me if I said it's just got my clothes in it?" She said.
"Clothes do not attract THRUSH's attention," Illya said.
Violet frowned. "There are papers. I don't know what they're about, but I guess they're important," She said.
"We might need to look at those papers," Illya said.
Violet's brow furrowed. "But I said I'd deliver them," She said.
"By whom?" Napoleon said sitting up.
"I don't know," Violet said. "This lady. She handed me the bag and told me that if I didn't deliver it then there would be horrible consequences."
"That's very vague," Napoleon said. "Can you tell us anything that could narrow down who this woman was?"
"I don't know, I just remember she handed me the bag," Violet said. Her eyes widened. "A bird..."
"A bird?" Napoleon said slowly.
"She had a bird pin on her shirt," Violet said. "Like those two men..."
"Then the woman was from THRUSH," Napoleon said.
"What is THRUSH?" Violet asked.
Illya and Napoleon exchanged glances. Napoleon stood up and gestured to Illya to follow him. Napoleon and Illya stood together with their backs to Violet.
"I think we should tell her. She is a part of this now too," Napoleon said.
Illya frowned. "I guess you are correct," He said.
Napoleon turned back towards Violet. "What we are about to tell you is too secret. You are not allowed to tell anyone what you are about to hear," Napoleon said.
Violet nodded her head. She turned so she was closer towards Napoleon.
"Illya and I are a part of an organization called U.N.C.L.E., the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. It is an international organization. U.N.C.L.E. has for many years found itself opposed by the criminal organization THRUSH. THRUSH's exact goals are unknown, but they hold no value of the human life and kill without batting an eye," Napoleon said.
"That sounds horrible," Violet said, "and I've got myself tangled up in all this."
Napoleon placed his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll protect you," He said. "We do need to know what is in that bag though."
Violet nodded her head. She handed Napoleon the bag. He set it on a table and sat down in one of the chairs.
Illya sat down on another chair around the table, and Violet took a third. Violet watched anxiously as Napoleon opened the bag. Illya stood up and circled Napoleon so he could get a better view of the inside of the bag. Napoleon took out a small packet of papers.
Illya reached out his hand and took the papers from Napoleon. He put them up to his ear and listened for a little while. Illya nodded and handed the packet back.
Napoleon slowly opened the packet at the crease. He pulled out more paper. He began to unfold the papers. Lines stretched all over most of the papers.
"They look like plans to something," Napoleon said.
"Look at that one," Violet said pointing at one with a strange wriggly shape. "That looks like the coast of Labrador."
Illya looked over at Violet with an eyebrow raised.
"What? Is that strange to know?" Violet asked.
Napoleon laughed. "It wasn't something Illya expected you to know, I suppose," He said.
"I used to live in Labrador," Violet said.
"Aren't we lucky Illya? We've got our own expert on Labrador," Napoleon said smiling.
Illya rolled his eyes. Napoleon went back to looking at the papers. Violet sat up to get a better look. Napoleon and Illya both leaned closer to a specific piece of paper.
At the top corner was a word written in small cramped handwriting. The handwriting would have normally been hard to read, but this word seemed to jump out of the page. The word carried horror unequal to any other word, and the word was the most evil in the hands of THRUSH. The word was 'Nuclear'.
Violet sat silently trying to read the word upside-down. She frowned and tried to turn her head to read it.
Napoleon looked over at Violet. "Where did you have to deliver this bag?" He asked.
"I was supposed to deliver it to men in grey suits," Violet said.
"Well, those men are probably going to come back for these papers. We'd better take them to headquarters for safe keeping," Napoleon said.
Violet looked at Napoleon. Her look was nervous. Napoleon smiled reassuringly. Violet made an attempt at a smile, but it was a small feeble smile.
"I think taking the papers is the safest, but what about me?" Violet asked.
"U.N.C.L.E. will protect you. We aren't like THRUSH," Napoleon said.
Violet nodded slowly looking at both Napoleon and Illya for reassurance. Napoleon put the papers back into the original packet and put them back into the blue bag. Napoleon pulled a pen from his pocket. He rearranged it and pulled an antenna from the back of it. Violet watched with an amount of interest.
"Open Channel D," Napoleon said to the pen.
A female voice spoke into Napoleon's ear. "Channel D is open."
"Napoleon Solo here, Illya and I have obtained some THRUSH plans," Napoleon said. "We also have an innocent woman named Violet..."
"Taylor," Violet said quickly.
"Violet Taylor with us who has been caught up in all this," Napoleon finished.
"We'll do a security check before letting her into Headquarters, it should be over before you get here with the traffic."
"Thank you," Napoleon said.
"And Napoleon, be careful," The female voice said.
"Oh, I will," Napoleon said laughing slightly.
Violet's eyes were widened just a bit. Napoleon smiled at Violet. "Impressed?" He asked.
Violet nodded.
"I suppose we should call a cab," Illya said.
"That would be desirable," Napoleon said. "Would you like me to do that?"
Illya nodded. Napoleon walked off to find a pay phone. Violet looked down at her hands. She was silent and seemed to avoid looking over at Illya. Violet bit her lip slightly. She messed with her hands and ran her fingers through her hair. Illya and Violet sat there silently trying to ignore each other for awhile. Violet sighed slightly.
Napoleon walked back towards the silent two. He reached them. Violet looked up at him.
"I've called the cab, we should go out there to catch it," Napoleon said.
Violet stood up. She smoothed out her coat and picked up her blue bag. Illya stood up after her. He crossed his arms and followed Napoleon and Violet to where the cab would meet them.
The two U.N.C.L.E. agents and the innocent young woman waited for the cab for about ten minutes before it showed up. Napoleon stepped in and said something that Violet didn't hear. She stepped in after him. Illya stepped in last. Illya closed the door and the cab took off.
Once the cab drove out of the airport parking lot it began to inch forward due to the heavy traffic of New York City. Violet stared down at her hands. Illya stared out the window lazily. Napoleon stared through the driver's window. The cab was silent. The driver began to get slightly awkward by the complete silence of the cab. He began to tap on the steering wheel with his thumbs.
"So, you three seem to be in a hurry," The cab driver said breaking the silence.
"I suppose," Napoleon said.
Violet looked up slightly, but quickly went back to staring at her hands. The driver decided it was best not to speak to three occupants of his cab.
The cab finally reached its destination after what felt like hours. Illya and Violet got out first. Napoleon paid before stepping out of the cab. Violet held tightly to her large blue bag. The cab drove off.
Napoleon began to walk. Violet followed after him. Napoleon walked towards a tailor shop. It was called Del Floria's. Violet looked over at Napoleon quite confused. Now did not seem like the time to be getting a suit pressed.
Napoleon entered the Del Floria's. Illya followed behind him closely. Violet sat outside for a short amount of time. She shrugged and followed the two U.N.C.L.E. agents inside the tailor shop.
Violet looked around the store. It was exactly what she expected. There was nothing particularly special about it. The store was actually rather boring. Violet looked over at Napoleon and Illya rather confused.
Napoleon smiled. Violet walked towards him. Napoleon gestured for her to come closer. Violet leaned towards him.
"Go into the changing room and turn the coat hook on the back wall then push," Napoleon whispered.
Violet gave him a strange look, but walked towards the changing room. She turned the coat hook. She pushed the wall and the wall swung in.
Violet found herself in the main admissions area of the U.N.C.L.E. Headquarters in New York. Napoleon came in behind her. He smiled at her. He put his hand on her arm and directed her towards the pretty, female receptionist.
The receptionist handed Violet a green badge. Napoleon pinned it to her shirt before having his yellow badge pinned to his shirt by the receptionist. The two of them walked past the receptionist and headed down the halls. Illya joined them shortly after.
Violet was at awe of everything she saw. Napoleon found this very humorous and teased her over it. Illya watched Napoleon and Violet with a certain amount of distaste.
Napoleon lead Violet to a plain room. It had a table and a few chairs and a screen on the wall to the right of the door. Napoleon sat down in the chair closest to the door. Violet sat in the chair closest to Napoleon. Illya stood behind Napoleon with his arms crossed.
Violet glanced at Napoleon for some explanation, but just as she did a young, pretty woman stepped into the room. She turned off the lights and directed them towards the screen.
"This is what we know about the bag the young woman with you brought," The woman said. "It contains valuable information for U.N.C.L.E. Napoleon, you and Illya will be assigned to this mission from now on. We have chosen two other agents to take over your current mission."
Violet looked down by her foot, but the bag was gone. She looked over at Napoleon in surprise. He smiled.
"Don't worry," Napoleon said. "I took it from you and handed it to one of our agents. It's safe."
Violet nodded and looked back to the screen.
"It appears it is plans for an underground nuclear reactor," The young woman said. "We believe they will be building it near the coast of Labrador."
"Why Labrador?" Violet asked.
"Unfortunately, we don't know," The young woman said. "It might be random, it might have a real reason. We can't know with this information."
Violet nodded. She looked over at Napoleon with a nervous look. He smiled at her to reassure her. She began to chew on her lip nervously.
"With this information U.N.C.L.E. can stop THRUSH from constructing the reactor," the young woman said, "and we can thank you for that."
Violet's eyebrows furrowed. She ran her fingers through her hair. Napoleon looked at her with concern.
"Is something wrong?"
"My family in Labrador... I wonder if they're alright," Violet said.
"Well, it seems that you will be making a surprise visit to your family," Napoleon said.
Violet looked at him with an odd look. "I haven't visited my family in years," She said.
"Doesn't seem about time that you do?" Napoleon said. "You'll have big news for them, like a recent engagement."
"An engagement?" Violet said raising an eyebrow.
"To a rich young man from Kansas," Napoleon said smiling slightly.
Violet's eyebrows furrowed. "I'm not so sure about this..."
"It'll be fine," Napoleon said smiling.
Violet nodded slowly.
★★★
Violet held onto Napoleon's arm with her right arm. She kept glancing at the large ring on her finger. She kept rearranging the shawl she had draped over her shoulders. She kept shifting the bag she had on her left arm. She kept running her left hand's fingers through her hair.
Napoleon kept turning towards her and smiling at her. To most they would seem like a loving couple. The 'loving couple' walked towards a dock which had a yacht tied to it. The couple got aboard. Napoleon helped Violet onto the boat.
Violet was not so comfortable on a boat. She tripped a few times as the boat rocked in the harbor. Napoleon caught her at every fall.
"I've never really been on a boat before," Violet said.
"Well, there's nothing to it," Napoleon said. "You'll get used to it very soon."
Violet nodded. She looked over the horizon that they were to be sailing towards.
"It's spectacular!" She exclaimed staring over the water.
Napoleon smiled. "It is quite lovely," He said.
Violet looked at Napoleon and smiled slightly. "If the situation were different, this trip would be amazing," She said.
"Why can't it be amazing even with the situation?"
Violet smiled grimly. "I guess the fear," She said. "I'm terrified of everything."
Napoleon put his arm over her shoulders and kissed her forehead. "There's nothing to worry about."
"I am sorry to break up this heartfelt moment, but we are setting off," Illya said walking out from a cabin.
Napoleon took his arm off Violet's shoulders and reached for her hand. She took his hand. Napoleon walked into the cabin. There were a number of maps and papers on the table in the middle of the cabin. Napoleon pulled a chair out for Violet and she sat down. Napoleon sat down in the seat beside her.
"Let's go ever our cover so you understand it better," Napoleon said.
Violet nodded. "Your name is Harvey Muller, you're a rich wheat farmer from Kansas. We met at an airport in New York," Violet said. "We dated for a few months, and I went back to Kansas with you to meet your family. You proposed while we were in Kansas. After that we decided to it would be a good idea for you to meet my family."
"Good, that sounds right. Just remember, I am Harvey Muller," Napoleon said. He said this in a slightly southern accent.
Violet nodded. "Where will Illya be during this whole affair?" She asked.
"I will be out of sight," Illya said stepping into the room.
Napoleon passed Violet a pearl necklace. "In case THRUSH takes you away from us," He said.
Violet put the necklace on. She looked out the cabin window. The sky was clear and bright. She sighed.
★★★
The coast of Labrador drew nearer and nearer. Violet sat by the edge of the yacht filled with a little bit of excitement and a lot of anxiety. She felt like the only person in the world. It was dark and day wouldn't break for at least a couple more hours. The world seemed silent. All she could hear was the crash of the water onto the side of the yacht.
Violet felt a cold breeze on her shoulder. She instinctively pulled her shawl over her shoulder. Violet yawned. Her eyes teared up and she wiped the moisture away.
Violet heard footsteps behind her, but she didn't even turn to see who they belonged to. "Lovely night isn't it?" Napoleon's voice said softly.
"Mmhmm," Violet mumbled.
Napoleon walked beside her and leaned onto the edge of the yacht and looked at her profile in the moonlight. "Why are you up so early?" He asked.
"I couldn't sleep," She said. "I kept tossing and turning and imagining things that weren't there. Why aren't you asleep?"
"I'm actually not quite sure," He said. "I woke up for no apparent reason."
Violet stared out into the dark ocean. She listened to the waves. Napoleon smiled. "You are quite lovely in the moonlight," He said.
Violet smiled. "Thank you," She said quietly. Her hand went to push a lock of hair behind her ear.
Napoleon looked at her with a smile. He moved closer to her and wrapped his arm over her shoulders. She leaned her head on his shoulder. They sat there for some time without saying a word.
Violet's eyes felt heavy, but she didn't let herself fall asleep. The wind blew a chill over Napoleon and Violet.
"Maybe we should go inside the cabin soon," Napoleon said.
Violet smiled slightly. "Maybe soon," she said, "but not yet."
Napoleon laughed quietly and kissed the top of her head. They sat there for a few more minutes before walking to the cabin of the boat. Her hand was in his. They stepped into the cabin. They sat together in the cabin for a long while on a couch. Violet fell asleep on Napoleon's chest. The sun rose and the coast of Labrador drew even nearer.
Illya stepped into the cabin. Napoleon smiled at him smugly. "Good morning," He said.
Illya's eyebrows furrowed. "How did this happen?"
"A magician does not simply reveal his secrets," Napoleon said.
Illya rolled his eyes. "The boat is going to dock shortly."
"That's very nice," Napoleon said. "I'll wake her soon then."
"You should wake her now. We need to make sure everything is ready before we dock," Illya said.
"No need, I'm up," Violet said sleepily. She sat up slowly and in a tired way. She stretched and yawned. Napoleon sat up as well.
"Did you have a good nap?" He asked.
Violet nodded and wiped her eyes. Illya stepped out of the room after giving Napoleon a look.
Napoleon smiled. "I'll go help Illya with whatever he needs," Napoleon said. "I can't risk him getting anymore upset with me. He might do something desperate."
Violet stood up. She looked down at her dress. It was slightly wrinkled, but she didn't worry. Napoleon looked at the dress. He walked over and smoothed the dress out.
"We can't let the bride-to-be have a wrinkled dress," Napoleon said.
Violet blushed. He kissed her on the cheek before walking out of the room. A smiled played at Violet's lips. She looked out the cabin window and ran her fingers through her hair.
Outside Napoleon and Illya were walking together. "Are you really sure that she is ready for all this?" Illya asked.
"I'm certain of it," Napoleon said.
Illya looked at Napoleon thoughtfully. "I wonder if you are ready for this," He said.
"What is that supposed to mean, Illya?" Napoleon asked.
"An engagement, Napoleon. Are you ready for such a commitment?" Illya asked.
"I'm not really going to marry her," Napoleon said.
"No, but you have to pretend to want more than a... How do you Americans put it?" Illya said. "A one night stand."
"How horrible of you Illya!" Napoleon exclaimed. "I am never so shallow, besides I've done covers like this before!"
Illya rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say Napoleon," He said.
Napoleon made a sour face at Illya. Illya continued walking. "I am going to help dock the boat," Illya said.
"You do that," Napoleon said annoyed.
Illya walked off. Napoleon shook his head for awhile.
Napoleon headed back to the cabin. He knocked on the door. Violet opened the door.
Napoleon stepped inside. "Let's go over our cover one more time..."
★★★
The car bounced up and down as it rode down the pothole cover road. Napoleon had his hand hand tightly on the seat in front of him. "My god Illya! Are you hitting every pothole you can?" He exclaimed.
Illya ignored Napoleon. "It's always likes this," Violet said. "The roads are smooth until the winter then they freeze up and get a lot of potholes. The roads probably haven't been fixed for awhile."
Napoleon frowned. "I could never live in a place like this," He said.
Violet smiled slightly. "Don't tell my father that," She said jokingly. "He wants me to move back to Labrador."
Napoleon smiled and shook his head. The car hit a large pothole and the car bounce higher than it had before. Napoleon hit his head on the back of the seat in front of him.
Violet covered her mouth. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Napoleon said covering his nose.
"Sorry," Illya said dryly.
The car continued to bounce along. The car drove until it reached a small city. Napoleon and Violet got out. Illya drove off. Napoleon and Violet began to walk towards the residential area of the city. They walked to a medium sized white house with green shutters.
Napoleon looked over at Violet. "You ready?"
"I hope so Harvey," Violet said looking at Napoleon.
"You'll do fine," Napoleon said starting to use his fake southern accent.
Violet smiled slightly. They walked up the sidewalk towards the white house and climbed the steps. Violet knocked on the door.
An older woman opened the door.
"Hi mum," Violet said smiling slightly.
The woman's eyes widened. "Violet?"
"Yeah, it's me," Violet said.
"Come in dear," The woman said smiling widely.
Violet and Napoleon stepped inside.
"Benjamin! Violet's here!" The woman exclaimed.
An older man walked into the room with his eyes wide.
"Dad!" Violet exclaimed smiling. She went and hugged him.
"What are you doing here, Vee?" The man asked.
Violet broke the hug. "Well, I know it's sudden, but I'm engaged," She said.
"What?!" Violet's parents exclaimed.
"Mum, Dad, this is Harvey Muller," Violet said.
"It's a mighty fine to meet you," Napoleon said.
Violet's parents exchanged glances. Violet's father took the initiative. "My name is Benjamin Taylor and this is my wife Emma," He said.
Napoleon took Benjamin's hand for a shake and smiled widely. "Mighty fine," He said.
Benjamin glanced over at Violet. She smiled at him. "Would you like something to eat?" Emma asked.
"That would be wonderful," Violet said smiling.
Emma walked towards the kitchen. Benjamin walked towards the living room of the house. Napoleon and Violet followed him.
"So, where did you two kids meet?" Benjamin asked as he seated himself in a very comfortable looking armchair.
"An airport while I was in New York," Violet said.
"I saw her and thought she was 'bout the prettiest darn thing I ever saw. So I began ta court her," Napoleon said.
"What do you do for a living Harvey?" Benjamin asked.
"I struck it mighty rich in the wheat business," Napoleon said.
"So where are you from?" Benjamin asked.
"Kansas, in a small town a few hours drive from Kansas Ciy," Napoleon said.
There was a small gap of silence. Violet looked back and forth between Napoleon and her father.
"Um... Harvey, just sit down right on the love seat and I'll go see if there's anything I can help my mother with," Violet said.
Napoleon sat down on the love seat. He smiled up at her. "Alright sweetheart," He said.
Violet walked off to the kitchen where her mother was. Emma was cooking something on the stove. "Mom, is there anything I can help with?"
Emma looked over at her. "You can stir these for me," She said pointing to the pot she was over.
Violet went over and began to stir the pot. In the pot was mashed potatoes.
"So, how long have you known that young man?" Emma asked.
Violet looked over at her mother. "Oh, a little less than a year," Violet said.
"Oh, that's nice," Emma said. "I was worried you were rushing into this or something."
Violet made a face at the potatoes. "Mother, you act like I am a child," She said.
"Aren't you?" Emma said. "You left the house so young, you made bad decision after bad decision, and now you're marrying a man that you didn't even think of introducing to us until now."
"It wasn't serious until he proposed," Violet said.
"So you just said yes to a man you barely know?" Emma said.
Violet mumbled something about how this was why she never came home. Emma slapped down a knife she was cutting some meat with. "Do you want to say that again louder?" She said.
"No, I don't," Violet said dropping the spoon into the potatoes. She walked out of the kitchen.
Both Benjamin and Napoleon were facing the kitchen. Violet sat down beside Napoleon.
"You'll have to excuse the two of them. They've fought like that since Vee was a little girl," Benjamin said.
"Why didn't you tell me that you and your ma were on such shaky terms?" Napoleon asked.
"Because I thought for once in her life she wouldn't nag me over everything. I thought she might be happy to see me after all this time," Violet said bitterly.
"Pardon me, but I reckon we've imposed on you long enough, we might do best ta be scurryin' off," Napoleon said.
"I understand," Benjamin said.
Napoleon stood up and took Violet by the arm. She followed listlessly. They left the Taylor house quickly.
"I'm sorry about that," Napoleon said as the walked down the sidewalk away from the house. He had dropped the fake southern accent.
"You don't need to be sorry. It was my fault," Violet said.
"No, it was my fault. I never once thought that you might not be on friendly terms with your parents," Napoleon said.
"Not my parents, just my mother," Violet said.
Napoleon frowned. "Did that upset you?" He asked.
"Only a little," Violet said. "I'm used to it though... She's been against everything I've wanted to do since I could say so."
Napoleon shook his head. He reached for Violet's hand and held it in his hand. He drew closer to her. Violet looked at him with a smile. "My mother wouldn't like you getting so close to me," She said.
"I would like to get even closer," Napoleon said.
Violet smiled a little more. "Napoleon Solo, I barely know you, but something about you makes me not care," She said turning to face him.
Napoleon took both her hands and looked her into the eyes. "You are just as lovely in the daylight as you are in the moonlight," Napoleon said.
Violet blushed a little. Napoleon moved closer to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the lips. They broke apart then walked towards the road that they would find Illya waiting in the car.
Napoleon had his arm around Violet's waist. They reached the medium-sized, black car. Illya was sitting in the driver's seat with his glasses on.
"Why are you back so early?" Illya asked.
"We were confronted with a slight problem," Napoleon said.
"THRUSH?"
"No, a disapproving future mother-in-law," Napoleon said.
Illya gave Napoleon an annoyed look. "I looked around for a hotel, but I could not find one in this town," Illya said.
"We could go to the next town over. I know they have a hotel," Violet said.
Illya nodded.
Napoleon opened the door of the car. "After you," He said. Violet stepped in and scooted down the seat. Napoleon climbed in the car. He shut the door behind him.
Illya started the car and drove forward. He headed towards the road out of town. The car bounced as it hit another pothole.
Napoleon's pen began to beep. Napoleon took the pen out of his pocket. He rearranged it and put it next to his ear.
"Hello?"
"We've located where THRUSH's nuclear reactor should be," A female voice said.
"Well, tell us," Napoleon said glancing over at Violet.
"It's located about half a mile along that road you're riding on," The female voice said.
"If the reactor were to go off would the blast reach Violet's family's house?" Napoleon asked.
"There wouldn't be anything left of it," The female voice said.
Napoleon looked over at Violet. "Now we know what the consequence of you not delivering the bag would have been," He said.
Violet's brow furrowed. "How are we supposed to shut down something like that?" She asked.
"Don't worry, we'll think of something," Napoleon said.
The car hit another large pothole. Napoleon glared at Illya. "You and I both know that that was on purpose," Napoleon said.
Illya laughed slightly. "Well, I'm going to leave you two to your arguing," The female voice said. "Good luck."
"Goodbye," Napoleon said dryly.
Napoleon glared at the back of Illya's head. Illya continued to drive the car. The ride was anything but smooth, and it appeared that Illya was at least making an attempt to avoid a few potholes.
Napoleon stared out the window at the scenery. "I guess there is something refreshing about riding down a road surrounded by tree," He said.
Violet looked out the window as well. "I always hated riding through roads like these. I heard so many stories about how people disappeared on these roads," She said.
"There are stories like that everywhere you go," Illya said.
"I know," Violet said. "They are quite creepy. Some of them have to be true."
"It is true that some of the stories ring with truth, but they are at most times merely stories," Illya said.
The three in the car saw the city approach them. Violet sat up. Her eyes widened. "I didn't realize how much I missed a town I never lived in," Violet said quietly.
Napoleon looked over at her. He smiled at her. "Nostalgia?" Napoleon said.
"Yes," Violet said. "I remember going here on foot during the summer to get away from my mother. I'd spend the night at one of my friend's houses or hiding in a store. Anything to avoid going home. My father would always drive up here and take me home."
Napoleon looked at the town. It wasn't a large town. The car drew even closer. Violet watch the town with a certain amount of excitement. It was an unexplainable excitement.
Illya drove the car into the city and drove through streets that Violet remembered with sweet longing. Her eyes would become fixed on the shops she remembered from her youth. The convenient store, the tire shop, the small town restaurants that served warm meals. Napoleon sat watching her eyes follow these stores until after they were out of sight. Illya stopped the car in front of the hotel. "I will go park. You will make the necessary arrangements," He said to Napoleon.
Napoleon smiled and stepped out of the car. "If that's what you want," He said as he walked to open the door for Violet.
Napoleon linked arms with Violet and walked her towards the entrance of the hotel. Napoleon opened the door for Violet and she walked into the hotel first. They walked to the receptionist, an old man. Napoleon made a sour face as he looked around the room.
The receptionist looked up. "What can I do for you?" He asked.
"We'd like to have a room," Napoleon said. Violet looked at the old man with a small smile on her face.
"Um... Well, what type of room would you like?" The old man asked.
"One with a window," Napoleon said looking over at Violet.
The old man looked at a paper in front of him. He read down it. "Your room number will be 48," He said. "Just go down that hall and it will be one of the last doors." He looked up and made eye contact with Violet. His eyes widened slowly.
"Mister Henderson," Violet said smiling.
"Violet?" The old man said unsurely.
Violet nodded.
"How have you been?" The old man asked with a pleasant smile.
"I've been good," Violet said.
There was silence between them. "Is your mother...?"
"No," Violet said.
The old man nodded. He handed them a key. "Have a good day," The old man said.
"Thank you, you too," Violet said as they walked towards where the room was.
Napoleon looked over at her. "Know him?"
"He would let me stay in one of the rooms sometimes when I ran away from home," Violet said.
Napoleon nodded. They walked together down the hall.
Napoleon opened the door of room 48. The door creaked. He stepped inside and Violet followed. The room was clean and neat.
Napoleon started through the room. He was looking for recording devices and other types of bugs in the room. He didn't find one and that seemed to satisfy him. He turned on the light and set down both their bags.
Violet stretched and laid herself across the bed. "Don't go to sleep yet," Napoleon said.
"I won't," Violet replied.
There was a rattle at the window. Violet looked up lazily as Illya climbed into the room by the window. Illya dropped in and stood up. He dusted off his clothing.
"Did you have fun parking the car?" Napoleon asked.
Illya rolled his eyes. Illya pulled a map out of his coat pocket and set it down on the nightstand. He pulled out the nightstand so Napoleon could get a better look at the map.
Napoleon walked over. "What's the red dot mean?" He asked.
"That is where the nuclear reactor is," Illya said.
"Oh, so we should be right here," Napoleon said pointing to a black dot on the map.
Illya nodded. Violet rolled onto her stomach so she was facing Illya and Napoleon. She looked up at the two men. She propped herself up on her elbows.
"How close are we to the reactor?" She asked.
"Within half of a mile," Illya said.
Violet sat up quickly. "That close?" She said surprised.
"It is even closer to the city your parents live," Napoleon said.
Violet bit her lip nervously. She turned and looked out the window. Napoleon sat down on the bed next to her. He looked out the window as well. The sun was high in the sky.
"Would you like to show me around the city?" Napoleon asked.
Violet looked over surprised. "Would you really like me to?" She asked.
Napoleon smiled. "Of course," He said. "You know this town, right?"
Violet smiled and stood up. "Yes!" She exclaimed. "I'll go change then we can go!"
Violet grabbed her bag and slipped into the restroom. Illya looked over at Napoleon with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm trying to get her mind off the reactor," Napoleon said shrugging.
"Have fun," Illya said dryly.
"I will," Napoleon said smiling suavely.
Violet walked out from the restroom. She was wearing a light yellow blouse with loose sleeves and a green pencil skirt with black high heels.
Napoleon glanced at Illya. He flashed him a smiled. "Good night," Napoleon said standing up and walking towards Violet.
Illya rolled his eyes as Napoleon and Violet walked out of the room. He pulled out his glasses and began to study the map carefully.
★★★
Napoleon had his arm around Violet's waist. "That was the best restaurant in town," Violet said pointing at an old building. "I remember one time they let me eat for free because they felt sorry for me."
"Why don't we return the favor?" Napoleon asked turning towards the restaurant. Violet followed smiling like a happy child.
Napoleon and Violet entered the restaurant. A hostess stood at the door. She smiled. "How can I help you?"
"We'd like a table for two, please," Napoleon said.
The hostess nodded. "Alright, follow me then," She said and began walking deeper into the resaurant. Napoleon and Violet followed her.
The restaurant was brightly lit. The hostess stopped at a square table pushed next to the wall with two chairs by it. "Here you are," The hostess said.
Napoleon smiled at her. "Thank you," He said.
The hostess smiled at him. "You're welcome," She said before turning and walking off.
Napoleon pulled out one of the chairs for Violet. Violet sat down. Napoleon sat in the chair in front of Violet. He smiled at her.
"What can you recommend?" Napoleon asked.
Violet laughed. "I remember the spaghetti being the best food I had ever eaten," She said.
"Then that is what we will order," Napoleon said.
Violet smiled. A waitress walked up and handed the two a menu each. Napoleon looked over it. "Very inexpensive," He said looking over at Violet.
"It isn't that fancy of a restaurant," Violet said.
Napoleon set down the menu. "Which is very well, I am on a sort of budget," He said.
"Do you not get paid well or something?" Violet asked.
"Let's just say I work very hard for every dollar I earn," Napoleon said.
"A spy on a budget, who ever heard of that," Violet said.
"Being a spy is only so glamorous," Napoleon said.
"It must be an exciting life though," Violet said.
Napoleon thought for a moment. "I won't complain. I meet many very beautiful women," He said.
Violet blushed and looked down at the table. She began to mess with her napkin. "I guess very few women can resist you," She said. "I guess I shouldn't feel so silly."
"Silly for what?" Napoleon asked.
"Oh, just how I feel towards you..." Violet said attempting to say it like it was a part of a normal conversation.
The waitress walked up again interrupting Napoleon and Violet's conversation. "What drinks would you like?"
Napoleon quickly glanced at the menu. "I'd like a pint of whiskey, please," He said.
Violet looked up. "Oh, um... I'll just have some water," She said hesitating slightly.
The waitress gave the two a sour look before walking off to get them their drinks. Violet looked over at Napoleon. She began to laugh quietly. Napoleon join in on her silent chuckles.
Violet wiped her eyes. A smile still lingered on her face. Napoleon smiled at her. He leaned back slightly. The waitress came back with their drinks.
Napoleon looked her up and down. "Thank you," He said.
The waitress walked off, and Napoleon watched her. Napoleon turned back towards Violet. He flashed her a smile. Violet raised her glass up to her lips and took a sip. She set the water back down. Napoleon took a drink. They sat quietly together.
The waitress took their orders of food. Their food was delivered to them and they began to eat.
Violet ate with a smile on her face. Waves of nostalgia seemed to wash over her with each bite. Napoleon ate slower than her and with more time between bites. He watched her face relax with bliss at every bite.
Napoleon noticed something in the corner of his eye. He turned and saw Illya walking towards them. He had a certain amount of urgency in his walk. Violet stopped eating and looked towards where Napoleon was looking. She saw Illya as well. She stopped eating for a moment and wiped her lips with a napkin.
Illya stood beside Napoleon. Napoleon stood up. They walked off so that they were out of site of Violet. "I have received orders to mount an assault on the reactor to shut it down as soon as we are able to," Illya said in a hushed voice.
Napoleon sighed slightly. "Well, I guess we had better carry out those orders," He said.
Napoleon walked back towards Violet. He smiled at her. "I have something I need to do. After eating, I need you to go back to the hotel. Stay there, don't open the door for anyone," He said calmly.
Violet nodded slowly. Napoleon handed her a small bundle of money and the key to the hotel. He smiled at her. "Please be safe," She said taking what he handed her.
"My primary concern," He said flashing her a smile.
Napoleon walked back towards Illya. Illya walked out of the restaurant, and Napoleon followed.
Violet's eyebrows furrowed. "His primary concern," She said quietly. She ran her fingers through her hair. "I should trust him..."

The car bounced as Illya drove towards the reactor. He stopped the car in the middle of the road. Illya got out of the car. Napoleon sat in the car for about half a minute before stepping out of the car.
Illya had his gun in his hand. Napoleon looked over at Illya. "Are we going to go?"
Illya gave Napoleon a dirty look before putting the magazine back into his gun. He began to walk towards the reactor. Neither of them would have been able to see it. It was supposably hidden under one hundred feet of stone and dirt and lead and guarded by THRUSH agents as the notes said.
The two men from U.N.C.L.E. neared the hidden Nuclear reactor. They saw a THRUSH guard and hid behind a bush. The guard looked over them and turned his back to them. Napoleon stood up and hit the guard and the guard fell over knocked out. Napoleon gestured to have Illya to follow after him.
Illya hid behind a tree suddenly. Napoleon hid behind another bush. Two guards stood in front of a cave. Illya looked over at Napoleon. "I'll take the one on the left," Illya said.
Napoleon nodded. The two U.N.C.L.E. agents went in opposite directions. They stayed just out of sight of the guards. Illya held his gun in his hand and Napoleon drew his. They both were very close to the guards. Illya and Napoleon made eye contact. Illya nodded and the both jumped out at the guards and hit the guards with the handles of their guns. The guards fell down, unconscious.
Napoleon smiled at Illya. "Well, let's go," He said.
They walked into the cave. The cave was a normal cave for awhile, but as the men from U.N.C.L.E. walked it began to get brighter. Lights were hanging on the walls. The floors soon turned to metal and became steeper.
Illya and Napoleon stopped at a large metal door. It looked heavy. It had a large handle on it with a key hole just under the handle.
"How do you think we should get in?" Napoleon asked Illya.
Illya opened his suit jacket and pulled out a small explosive devise. Napoleon made a thoughtful face. "I guess that is one way," He said.
Illya put the explosive devise into the keyhole. The devise went off. Illya pushed the door and it swung in. The two U.N.C.L.E. agents walked in. Metal bars fell down where the door had been and loud sirens began to blare at the two agents.
Napoleon looked around. A screen turned on the right wall.
"Hello Mister Solo, Mister Kuryakin," A man said on the screen.
Napoleon turned towards the screen. "It seems that we've been caught," He said. "How embarrassing."
"Very, but don't get too upset. We have a gift for you," The man said.
The was a commotion near a wall. The wall was pushed out and Violet stumbled in being pushed by two guards. "Let go of me!" She was shouting as she fought against their grip.
The two guards pushed her to the ground and pulled the wall back in. There was no sign of how the wall worked. Napoleon rushed toward Violet. "Are you alright?" He asked as he helped her up.
She nodded standing up. "Yes. I'm fine," She said.
"How did you get here?"
"I was walking back to the hotel and these men grabbed me and forced me into a car and drove off," Violet said.
"We have her as insurance that you'll comply to what we ask," The man on the screen said.
Napoleon turned back towards the screen. "See, this has all been a very elaborate ruse. There is no nuclear reactor. The guards you encountered were the only THRUSH agents in this entire Province," The man on the screen said.
Napoleon made a face. "And the plans?" He asked.
"The bait for you to bite," The man on the screen said. "The bag, the two men we sent after the bag, just bait."
"It seems that we have been caught hook line and sinker, Napoleon," Illya said.
"Then there really isn't any danger to my family?" Violet asked.
"No, they're still in danger," The man on the screen said. "They're our extra insurance."
"So, if Illya and I don't listen to you, you are going to kill her parents?" Napoleon asked.
"Then torture her in front of you Mister Solo," The man on the screen said.
Napoleon grimaced. "Well, you have this all planned out," He said.
"Of course. I am a part of THRUSH," The man on the screen said smiling a cruel, horrible smile.
"Well, what is it that you need me to do?" Napoleon asked shrugging.
"Not now. I want you to think in everything for a little while," The man on the screen said. "I want every possible chance at getting you to talk."
Napoleon frowned. "What ever you have planned for us, it doesn't seem good for anyone, but your organization," He said slowly.
"Naturally," The man on the screen said.
A laugh escaped Violet's lips. She covered her eyes with one hand and sunk down to the ground. Her laughter soon became sobs. Napoleon kneeled down beside her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I'm an idiot. I should have never taken that stupid bag! I should have known something like this would happen," Violet exclaimed taking her hand off her eyes.
Napoleon wrapped his arm over her shoulder and held her tighter. She rested her head on his chest and continued to cry. Napoleon looked at the screen. It was off.
Illya walked over towards Napoleon and Violet. He sat down beside them. He leaned over towards Napoleon. "I have a plan," He whispered.
Napoleon smiled. "Let's hear it," He whispered back.
"When they open the wall to torture Violet we will jump the men and stop the wall from closing," Illya whispered.
"What about Violet's parents?" Napoleon asked quietly.
"I have a feeling they are not in any danger," Illya mumbled.
Napoleon nodded. "We can only hope you're feeling is right," Napoleon whispered.
Their cell was silent for a good amount of time. Illya at one point tried his communicator to see if it would work, but all he got was static. The three captives sat around for a few hours with nothing to do and they barely talked with each other.
Then the screen turned on again. This time a different person was on the screen. It was a young woman with blonde hair and bangs. "Hello Mister Solo, Mister Kuryakin, Miss Taylor," The woman said politely.
Violet's eyes widened in recognition. This was the woman who had given her the bag. The woman still had the THRUSH pin on her shirt.
"Hello, what happened to the old boy that was on the screen before?" Napoleon asked.
"I wouldn't know," The woman said.
"Ah, THRUSH hasn't told you something so insignificant," Napoleon said.
The woman flinched. She went back to her emotionless expression. "Let us get down to business Mister Solo," She said.
"As a rule I never do business without knowing the name of my business partner," Napoleon said.
"Mister Solo, you're walking on thin ice," The woman said with slight irritation.
"Oh, fine... I'll listen to you," Napoleon said.
"How many people are in U.N.C.L.E. and or in contact with U.N.C.L.E.?" The woman asked.
"Oh, I don't know," Napoleon said. "Shouldn't THRUSH know that already?"
"How many U.N.C.L.E. agents have infiltrated THRUSH?" The woman asked.
"You keep asking questions I can't answer," Napoleon said. "They don't just tell ever member of U.N.C.L.E. these things."
"Where is the location of the U.N.C.L.E. Personnel Files?" The woman asked.
"Oh, here and there," Napoleon replied shrugging. "We aren't as organized as you think."
The woman's face contorted in irritating caused by her obvious frustration towards Napoleon's resistance. "If you do not give me a straight answer I will torture the girl," The woman said.
"If you would ask me questions I can answer I will give you a straight answer," Napoleon said simply.
"You could have answered all of those questions," The woman said icely. "It seems I have no choice, but to ask the guards to torture Miss Taylor."
Violet moved away from the wall. A different wall opened from the one that had the first time. Illya and Napoleon both jumped up and hit the guard that stepped out of the wall. Another guard jumped out from behind the wall. Illya stuck his foot into the space where the wall opened. He slipped inside and punched a guard that tried to stop him. That guard got stuck between the opening of the wall and was unconscious. He took the guards's gun.
Napoleon struggled with the guard inside the cell. They punched each other and rolled on the floor. The guard's gun fell out of his hollister. Violet inched towards the gun. Napoleon jumped up and the guard did too. They continued to punch each other and fought. Violet picked up the gun. She snuck behind the guard and hit him on the back of the head. The guard fell over unconscious.
Napoleon brushed his suit off then walked towards Violet. Napoleon and Violet heard a gunshot from behind the wall. They both ran towards the wall and pushed the unconscious guard out of the way then slipped in. Violet had her gun up. A guard laid in the ground dead. Napoleon let out a sigh of relief. "For a moment there I thought you had been shot," He said. "Why didn't you use your own gun?"
"It was easier to grab the guard's gun then grab my own," Illya said.
Violet looked at the gun in her hand. She lowered it slowly. The place they were not in seemed to go all the way around the cell they had been in. There weren't any more guards anywhere. They walked around the cell and found a passage way. There was a breeze coming through it.
"I guess this is the way out," Napoleon said.
They walked down it for a very long time before seeing light at the end. They continued on until they were outside the passage way. They were in a random clearing surrounded by trees on all sides. Napoleon look out his pen communicator and rearranged it to send a message.
"Open Channel D."
"Channel D is open."
"It is lovely to hear your voice again," Napoleon said.
The female voice giggled. "What do you want Napoleon?" She asked.
"I need you to patch me over to Mister Waverly," Napoleon replied.
"You didn't have to go through me for that," The female voice said.
"Maybe not, but I needed to hear your voice for a little while," Napoleon said.
Illya rolled his eyes. "Just call Mister Waverly," He said.
Napoleon smiled at Illya. "I will, I will," Napoleon said.
"Mister Solo?" Mister Waverly's voice said.
"There wasn't a reactor. It was all a ruse," Napoleon said.
"Oh," Mister Waverly said slowly. "Well, hurry back then. You'll have a lot of paperwork to fill out."
"Yes, sir," Napoleon said. He turned his pen back into just a pen. Napoleon made a face. "Now, let's figure out where in the world we are."
Violet looked around. She was lost as the two U.N.C.L.E. agents.
"We are probably in the woods around the road," Illya said.
"That's good, but it doesn't help us much," Napoleon said.
Illya frowned slightly. "If were to go towards the thinner tree.." Illya said slowly.
"Better than any idea I have," Napoleon said interrupting. He brushed his suit off before heading towards the trees Napoleon thought were thinner.
Illya rolled his eyes before following Napoleon. Violet was quite surprised by their quick decision, but followed after the two agents. They walked for awhile. The trees grew thinner and the road became clear. "Well, let's go find the car," Illya said.
Illya seemed to pick a direction at random. Violet and Napoleon looked at each other. Napoleon shrugged and gestured for Violet to go ahead of him. She walked after Illya. They walked for a good amount of time. Violet's feet had began to hurt. They reached the car. Napoleon nodded. He looked rather impressed.
Illya got into the driver seat. Napoleon and Violet took the back seat together. Violet rested her on Napoleon's shoulder in exhaustion. Illya started the car and they headed towards Violet's parents' house. Illya drove fast and somehow it felt like they weren't hitting as many potholes.
The drive was quick. Violet got out of the car rather quickly for someone as tired as she was. She ran to the door and opened it. "Dad?! Mum?!"
Benjamin and Emma Taylor both looked up in slight confusion. Violet sighed in relief. Violet's parents eyed the gun that Violet was still holding. Violet laughed slightly and hid the gun behind her back.
"What has you so excited?" Benjamin asked.
Violet laughed. "Nothing, absolutely nothing," She said.
Napoleon popped his head into the room. "Need anything?" He asked, he didn't even try to use the accent.
"No," Violet said smiling and leaning onto the wall beside the door.
Napoleon smiled at her and laughed slightly. Violet's parents looked at each other quite confused.
Illya finally made it up to the steps. He looked over at Napoleon then Violet then her parents. He shook his head.
★★★
"Well, that's just about everything that happened," Napoleon said finishing his narration of the events of the Affair. Illya sat at the table silently.
Mister Waverly shook his head. "That must have been the most poorly executed mission I have ever heard of THRUSH actually attempting," He said.
"After we investigate a little we found that it was only done by some very specific THRUSH agents. A agents of THRUSH not exactly know for their successful missions," Napoleon said. "We have captured all the agents responsible, and we plan to at least try to get some information out of them."
Mister Waverly nodded. He put his pipe into his mouth and looked over the papers. "Well, you're dismissed Mister Solo," He said. "Have fun with your young, lady friend."
Napoleon smiled and walked towards the door that opened on its own. "I will, sir," He said.
Illya rolled his eyes.
Napoleon walked down the halls towards the main admission area. Violet was standing there in a purple dress. She smiled at Napoleon. She walked towards him. He put his arm around her waist.
Violet gave Napoleon a mischievous look. She took his tied and pulled him closer to her and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her. They broke apart.
"Are you ready to go?" Violet asked.
"Of course," Napoleon said laughing.
They walked out of the U.N.C.L.E. Headquarters smiling widely.
